What are the best options in the $400 range. Got some extra cash and may want to add a wheel gun. What are some options? Thanks

Single or double action?

What are you gonna use it for?

A used S&W Highway Parolman .357 can be had for around $500 if you look hard. Built like a tank and has an action like butta.

A 4" stainless .357 is my standard reply for new owners.

You can go to Barney's in Carencro and probably get a nicely maintained used wheel gun for cheaper than that. I got a good deal on an old S&W Model 10 over there.

ETA: Didn't realize you probably don't live down in LA. So that's probably not helpful.

You can buy a used great condition s&w model 10 on gunbroker for that amount. wonderfully built weapon with great ergonomics, beta tested for decades with billions of rounds. .38 special rounds can do the vast majority of what you need a handgun for.
