Given proximity, if time even close to permits, go spend a day in Yosemite. Yes. The rest of my post will be about Yosemite since I haven't been to Sequoia. The drive in isn't easy. There are signs directing you to turn off air conditioning for fear of your vehicle overheating. The roads are small and windy (they wind. There isn't necessarily a ton of air that moves which people call "wind." Forgive me. Im drunk, these words are black and white and pronounced in your head. And im thinking they look too close to not differentiate the identical spellings). It's one of the most surreal places I've ever seen. I spent one day there- it was overcast as hell (there were clouds beneath the peaks of all the mountains. It hailed on multiple occasions througout the course of the day. We made a 1.5 mile hike in and back out up to half done)
