If Harris goes something crazy like 12 for 15, 230 yards and 3 TD and Jennings is like 8 for 17, 98 yards, 1 TD, 2 INT and then gets named starter in the fall the board WILL indeed shut down.

shutdown WAY WAY before the fall.........

I doubt this will happen. They will both have similar stats.

Just like every single spring game I watched last Saturday.

How would that prove it's a true competition?

I'd like to know that as well

I swear every single QB thread devolves into shitting on Jennings and giving Harris every single excuse in the book.

1. Spring games are NOT games. They are controlled and scripted scrimmages.
2. Performance in the final scrimmage of the spring has no more bearing than performance in any of the other spring practices.
3. The single use of fan determinations is as high comedy.

Won't matter, Miles will find away to spin it so that he can save face.

It is like CLM is Asian. Bengal Tigers are more prevalent in south Asia, so I guess he is just "showing his stripes".

I would love to see the rants reaction if Jennings clearly out plays Harris in the spring game.

He could outplay him. That doesn't mean he is the better QB. BH clearly outplayed AJ last year at the Spring Game.....then the season rolled around and you saw what happened.

won't even think about a change until we lose 2 games.
Probably not even then, as usual, but I'll still be watching, and bitching.

Why is that? It's as close to a game situation as they get to in the spring. If the purpose is not to evaluate players on their performance in a semi-game setting, the spring games should not even be held.
This should give us at least a look at the qb's grasp of the plays and leadership of their "team". If Miles chooses to ignore an obvious frontrunner in the position, which doesn't seem uncommon behavior by him, we as fans will just have to deal with it.
Can't wait for the fall!

Why?
I mean if Miles isn't going to do what you want, why bother?

Then the narrative will be how the coaching sabatoged Harris.

Yeah you're right. 260 total yards with no turnovers and 4 TDs against 150 total yards with 1 TD and 2 pick sixes

Think about it. Why practice things you aren't planning to use in a game? DOH Or should a coach spend valuable and limited practice time working double reverse throw back hook and ladder passes just to make you happy?
Honestly, where do some of you come from anyway?
