I am currently the Security Manager at a venue down here in Tampa.
I don't currently have anything lined up in Austin but I also don't plan on moving there in 2 weeks. I am looking a little further down the line like in a couple of months. And I was thinking Nashville or Austin. I didn't just pick a city out of a hat...I have been to both and loved both cities very much. Had an amazing time while I was there.

I would definitely wait until you had a job lined up. Finding a place should be pretty easy but be prepared to pay a lot.
Another thing to remember is visiting a city and living in a city are two different things.
