Paris for me. Went there and other than the landmarks and museums, it's a dump.

The town will never be the same. After the Tangiers, the big corporations took it all over. Today it looks like Disneyland. And while the kids play cardboard pirates, Mommy and Daddy drop the house payments and Junior’s college money on the poker slots. In the old days, dealers knew your name, what you drank, what you played. Today, it’s like checkin’ into an airport. And if you order room service, you’re lucky if you get it by Thursday. Today, it’s all gone. You get a whale show up with four million in a suitcase, and some twenty-five-year-old hotel school kid is gonna want his Social Security Number. After the Teamsters got knocked out of the box, the corporations tore down practically every one of the old casinos. And where did the money come from to rebuild the pyramids? Junk bonds. But in the end, I wound up right back where I started. I could still pick winners, and I could still make money for all kinds of people back home. And why mess up a good thing? And that’s that.

I can't help but think the only reason LV is #1 is all due to Hollywood. I know movies and such perpetuate the reputations of all those cities, but I can't imagine how many people go to Vegas thinking they'll have a glimpse of an adventure of what they see on TV and in movies, and when that doesn't happen.. they're disappointed.

Only personal taste, but I love New York.

I figured people spend much less time on Oahu (Honolulu, to be specific) and more time on other islands such as Kauai or Maui. For that reason, I guess I am surprised Honolulu is on this list. I didn't expect much when I went there because I knew there was so much more the Hawaiian islands had to offer. I do like Waikiki's nightlife, though...

I'm cool with Vegas. Fun for long weekends, if you have a good crew.

Don't see how NYC is overrated. It is what it is. Most people should know what they're gonna get. It really doesn't try to be something it's not. My favorite city I've ever been to in this country.

Los Angeles.

It's just a a giant Baton Rouge with the same traffic problems and is lucky as shite to have some mountains and beaches close by to make things more scenic and fun if you can get there.
