Not delusional about Blimpie and Subway. Subway's food sucks. Their bread tastes funky. Blimpie had good food.
It's obvious today that Subway won the war, but that does not translate into a better restaurant. Subway's franchises were cheap, and the company blanketed the country with them. So much so, that franchisees were suing because Subway was putting them too close together and they were cannibalizing each other.
Bottom line: Blimpie > Subway

My go to at Blimpie was the imitation seafood sub. I don't think they make it anymore.
In my experience, Blimpie's problem was very slow service. As slow as those ignorant, closed minded rednecks, coonasses and moronic morons in Metairie
. No one wants to waste their lunch hour standing in line.
