I always thought that one of the New Mexico colleges should be better than they are. Bordering Texas, Oklahoma & Arizona, along with California one state away, you would think that with even the left over recruits from that area, they would be more competitive. Although, there are a lot miles between those areas too. IDK, I may be way off.

New Mexico is barren as frick, though. They have absolutely zero in-state talent and the decent California kids get offers to places where there is shite to do.

New Mexico State has always been dog shite, but for a while New Mexico was pretty respectable, along the lines of a Colorado state type program. The last 7 or 8 years they have been absolutely dreadful though.
