With Gregory falling there is a possibility both are there at 13. Who would you prefer and why.

Personally I don't think you pass on Gregory regardless of drug test. But that is just me I have no justification behind it. I think if it were Scherff instead of Collins I would like that move but I don't see Scherff getting past Giants.

You have a drink and start working on pick 31 since you traded up for Fowler and no longer have 13.

If no guards have been taken by the time we pick then I would go best front 7 player available. Then I would wait until one of the guards are picked and trade up with our 31 to get the other

There's is absolutely no way of knowing what the FO/Payton will do in this draft.
Questions: Who are there Top 3 OL on the board and how likely will one of them be there at #31 or #44?
Note: Drew cant's complete passes on his arse. Evans will be gone if he plays like last year...even with the extension.

Question: What's more important: DL, LB or Edge?
Note: Considering how poorly the defense has been the last few years, you could argue that almost every position on the defensive side needs improvement. To me, the LB play has been close to comical. The only question raised when the opposition passes a screen pass is how many yards it will go for. Forget about stopping the run game. When you're the 25th rank pass defense, 29th run defense and 31st on total yards allowed, just about anyone can help.

Bottom line: Pick Collins and go LB at #31 (use a 3Rd rounder to move up if you have to).

it's a tough call. Guards are not traditionally valued to be drafted this high, so it is a position that we can hit on later in the first or even second round. However, we value the guard play moreso than other teams due to Brees' play style and height.

I think if we plan to use him at guard but eventually replace Eligible64 in the near future, then you take him at 13. If you strictly want him as a guard, then go with Gregory and address guard with 31 or one of the seconds

I guess I would go Collins. He could provide depth on the o-line or even step right in and start right away.

We don't know what is going to happen with Lelito. If we use the #13 pick on Scherff/Collins it should be a safe bet that they'll be a starter.

here's another thing. If there is an injury at tackle and we picked Scherff/Collins maybe they could slide over to tackle? For example,Strief has had some nagging injuries here and there.

just a thought.

I think you could find some good help at the end of the 1st round or in the 2nd round on defense too as far as pass rushers go.

looks like this draft has some solid depth?

I think if both collins and Gregory both manage to last until 13 there would be more than a few teams interested in trading up

Gregory is a top 3 player in the draft and some have him as the best player in the draft. Collins is a very good player, but not even considered the best at his position.

When it comes down to it, you just gotta do your homework on Gregory and find out if hes a good person that just made some mistakes like all college kids do or if he's an issue and has a lot of problems and is immature.

If were comfortable with Gregory and think he's a good guy that will grow and improve on and off the field, you take him no question. He's an elite prospect and is the type of player that could change the D from day 1.

If you think he has serious issues and aren't comfortable with taking him at 13, then you pass and take someone else.

It's pretty simple. But Gregory is an elite prospect and could be 1 of the best edge players in the NFL for years to come. Justin Houston failed a drug test for marijuana at the combine and fell to the 3rd round. Now he's arguably the best edge player in the NFL.

If you're comfortable with him, it's a no brainer you take him. If you aren't, you pass. Just gotta trust CSP and the staff.
