I don't understand why everyone can't focus in on cop behavior instead of the race aspect of it. God damn, kinda just shows that nobody actually cares about "black lives." It's all about being able to scold us white folks.

It would be SO much more beneficial to go after government and the police. One can only dream, I suppose.

It doesn't fit in with the race baiting leaders strategy but you are correct. In my limited dealings with police it seems like many of them regard the public as criminals. Many of them regard blacks even lower and as more of a threat. Its a problem.

Race is obviously an issue but make no mistake, that psycho cop would have shot some white dude in the back the same way given the opportunity. We should all be outraged.

Y'all need to settle down. What this video doesn't show is that he bends down and picks it back up a couple seconds later.

It's as if the other cop tells him "Don't do that, I won't cover for you."

The same thing I'm thinking..

Perhaps the 2nd cop gave a 'wtf are you doing man' gaze?

Does anyone know what the 2nd Officers report stated?

I'm doubting whether he(2nd Cop) witnessed anything ,but if he lied on his report(like Cops do) he should be fired/charged /skewered as well.

I'm gonna keep asking until someone answers ;

Do Cops know specifically WHY an arrest warrant is issued ?

Except that until the video came out..........it looks like he did.

Yep.

That is not uncommon. Race doesn't matter in that case.

Look at that Bogalusa deal.

The one thing I don't want to do though is assume the black cop is crooked.

There are two other possibles.

1)He told superiors and they didn't give a shite until the video showed up

2)There is a culture of "don't rat your buddy out or you're fricked" in the department such that he just knew better.

I mean, yeah, he may just be crooked too, but, at least the above two things are possible.

Or, if he knew what happened pervious to the shooting maybe he felt the shooter was justified?

The cop is a murderer but why is everyone giving the victim a pass? He didn't have to run or tussle with the cop...had he complied I bet he wouldn't have been shot.

Imagine being that cop. We know how cops are kinda like a frat and that there is a brotherhood there. They have shared wxperiences that only a few people have in this country.

I just can't comprehend the amongst of institutional, societal and moral pressure he must have felt.

He is being criticized for running by Marc Morial on CNN as we speak , but does it justify being shot in the back?

Has anyone seen or posted the video posted by S.C. Police? Breaking.

There is literally no circumstance that would've justified shooting a dude running away from you.........so slow that a 12 year old could've caught him.

What if he had a weapon in his hand and was about to attack a child? Still no shooting allowed?

ETA: In no way am I insinuating this to be the case.

Police report stated that Scott tried to take his taser from him, continued to run, cop couldn't see one of Scott's hands and therefore thought he had a gun and feared for his life. Shot Scott multiple times, cuffed him and then immediately began CPR. But then the police were shown the video and things just didn't add up.

I think this is cut and dry, yet I'm waiting for a jury to find the cop "not guilty". I hope not, but that's just the feeling I have.

Of course in a traffic stop situation, no one should run. Some act like this is breaking news. We knew that information on Saturday. That does not justify the cop killing the man. He had his car, his ID and his wallet. Heck go to his home and arrest him.

COps must be trained to make better decisions. Scott made a bad decision that cost him his life. The LEO made several bad decisions that cost a man his life too.

If it did I wouldn't call the cop a murderer.

I just said he most likely wouldn't have been shot had he not run...twice! How fricking stupid was he thinking he could get away...then they make him out to be a model citizen because he was in the USCG
