Last year it was all about Jennings knowing the plays. He got everyone set right and ran what Miles wanted. Harris is more comfortable with the scheme now, but that is still a big advantage to Jennings. What that tells me is that the offense will stay, for the most part, the same. It is not Cam Cameron's offense. Les wants certain features in it, and part of that is a power rushing attack. That part I say keep 100%, but you also have to play to the strengths of your quarterbacks in the passing game. To me, that is still a major question. I believe Jennings is the guy for Miles right now, and Harris will have to beat him out in the fall on the field.

So if Jennings is struggling like last season and we need some life in the offense, is Les going to take the stick out of his arse and let Harris pull a Favre?

This quote right here sums up why Miles has had so much trouble at the QB spot. Stop trying to fit square pegs in round holes!

It's mindboggling that LSU has so much talent at WR and even TE, yet there is very little emphasis to put those guys in positions to make plays other than the few deep balls attempted each game.

For instance, what more does Diarse have to show? In the few times they allowed him to (most notably vs. Wisc and ND) the guy made catches on intermediate routes and turned them in to big plays with his ability to run after the catch. EVERY OTHER TEAM IN THE COUNTRY would find a way to get the ball in the hands of a player like that several times a game except LSU.

Simms wasn't a great QB at Alabama, but to his credit, Kiffin found a way to play to the kid's strength and Saban was willing to let the offense evolve in to something other than what he generally likes to run. How can Les and co. not do the same thing?

Jennings- no mention of his poor pocket presence or our inability to call routes over the middle because half of his passes sail on him.

Can you imagine what an advantage that is for a defense never to have to play with inside leverage on any receivers? FML

Nothing is changing from last season.

I can't think of any other school more notorious for screwing up the quarterback position worse than LSU.

Our offense would have been fine last year if Jennings had displayed more accuracy. To many misses on easy throws, and to many dropped passes at crucial moments (I'm looking at you Quinn). If we run the same O, and our Qbs can complete 60+% of their throws, we'll be in great shape.
