Than any other time in history? Personally, I think not when you consider the Romans, Mongols, Persians, Babylonians, Nazis, Sodom and Gomorrah, etc... Pisses me off when people talk about how much worse the world is now... Truth is if they had the same media coverage and universal connectivity back then that we have today they would think the same thing.

Quit making excuses. Everything is shitty, you know it's shitty and it's only getting shittier.

That's exactly it. Media brings every bad thing to the front of our attention that years ago would have just gone unnoticed.

I'd love to transport anyone who thinks this back to the Siege of Baghdad or in a Spanish Inquisition torture chamber for starters.

Can you imagine the sheer anguish of being accused of sorcery or something in the dark ages and being sentenced to some horrific torture device?

It's the same world I've lived in for 50 years. You just hear about everything because of this social media bull shite.

Definitely. Air conditioning and missing out on the big polio and smallpox boom really sucks.

It's on the decline.

The pinnacle for America was the 1950s.
