The people that love it so much are the ones that have used a decent amount of cabs in the past.

Cabs cause the love for Uber.

Boston has too good of an infrastructure. Phoenix (Phoenix, Scottsdale,Tempe) is pretty spread out and there's almost no such thing as a train unless you live on its corridor. The laws here for drunk driving are killer too. Tent City is not a place you want to be especially with the rising temps. The taxis are friggin' expensive here too + distance = Uber is great in AZ.

Uber is awesome in Old Town Scottsdale. Last time I used it it was like a minute after I requested a ride did I get an alert saying my ride was there. I can go out and if I decide to drink more than my usual 1-2 drinks max(over the course of an entire evening)...it's only like a $9 Uber ride home.

I live close to Top Golf, I am right in the middle of Old Town. I am sure you went to the bars there!

Just use mine for your first Uber. Download the app and enter 806c9 and you will have $20 for a ride.

I am ok with it during the week because I can go get to Loco or Boondocks without a gagillion people at the bar but the weekends aren't as fun and it means it is about to get REALLY hot out.

Yeah I'm getting older I can tell. Everytime I would drive to Old Town I kept finding myself muttering "stupid tourists" as I'm trying to find parking or not hit someone in a crosswalk totally not paying attention to traffic

Yup, I remember a group of us were going from south Tempe>Old Town>Tempe 4ish years ago and the fee was ridiculous. Plus they wanted to split us up cause we had 5 people. We said screw it, and one of us just stayed sober. Not very fun when all your friends are hammered and you gotta catch up in college~

Well I could just ride my bike. But between snakes and crashes....you know that wouldn't be a great idea for me

Plus I don't even have a bike light

Uber is awesome

Just don't use it to any big event because you'll get surged out the bootyhole to get home.

True they try to lure out the drivers to for big events. Its a hassle to everyone. Only thing cabs have over uber atm.

It amazes me the amount of taxis that stay out at the airport waiting on flights to land. I understand that you can get $40+ but you're waiting an hour. There were 75+ cabs waiting for the final plane to land Monday night at midnight.

The taxi line was insane. I'd pay it again honestly.

I've gotten plenty of free nights to average it out
