People are totally clueless when it comes to diet and nutrition. She probably heard that you can lose weight by eating six times a day and thinks she can eat whatever.

this is what i think, that she heard eating more through the day helps lose weight and didnt bother researching anymore

We are still suffering from all the nutrition misinformation of the 80's and 90's.

Reminds me of one time when I was younger my 16 year old neighbor bragged about putting on muscle by eating lots of whey protein but never lifted an ounce
