I'm married to a PA. I like her making more money than a RN and doesn't have to work overtime, weekends or holidays to do so. She runs her own clinic twice a week, makes her own schedule and pretty much comes and goes as she pleases. On top of that gets 3 weeks vacation a year plus sick days.

Don't try to justify it. But whatever helps you sleep at night.

OK, Congrats?

Not justifying anything, but see you are. I didn't I say one job was better than the other. Two completely different rolls (minis NPs)

I responding to the notion the quality of life isn't leaps and bounds different.

Here all MD, NP, PA are required to work alternating shifts. Mid-level and MD's get no benefits as they work for Emcare.

Congrats to your wife, sounds like she has a sweet gig. My wife doesn't work because well, she doesn't have to.

My post was in response to the poster that tried to compare the pay, quality of life and work. There is nothing to compare. Nothing at all. Both are totally different in every aspect.

You can make significantly more money/have greater autonomy becoming a PA as opposed to becoming a nurse.
