How does one not have clothes to go to a nice restaurant? I'll never get that. My dad is that way. He honestly doesn't buy any dress clothes. Only collared shirts he owns have his company logo on them.

And as far as not being preppy/fratty in khakis . Khakis are the reason they look fratty/preppy! . Now you can certainly avoid your skinny type pants to not look metro.

Best khakis I own are Mountain khakis. Get the Teton twill Broadway fit and size up 1-2 on waist. They are the best for and material I've ever tried.

I find it odd too. Until around the 1960s, even working class males would have a jacket and tie or one suit that could be worn for special occasions. Now, you have people that relish not dressing up, even to the point of trying to make fun of people that may enjoy dressing up.

I can understand that, but you never have to go to anything that has a "business casual" attire? A cocktail party/job interview/wedding/etc.. I mean on average there's probably at least one event a month that I need to where a button down and slacks on the weekend even if my job doesn't call for it. Not trying to tear down anyone's lifestyle. Like I said, my dad is the same way. I just don't get how people never require those clothes.
