I just discovered the hybrid/new mobile version. I'm a huge fan. Definitely an improvement over the previous mobile version.
That is certainly good to hear.

So, we are in a transition phase...this newer mobile version has the same url of the desktop version...your screen resolution will determine whether you get the desktop version or this newer mobile version. Google is forcing publishers to implement this method (referred to as Responsive Web Design) or get hammered in search results.

Classic mobile has its own url (you will see /mobile in the url). It will still be accessible for the time being...don't have a timeline on when we pull the plug on classic mobile, but we will need to end it at some point since we don't want to deal with dual maintenance.

There may be some minor bugs...let us know if you see any or if you see any needs for tweaks...we wanted this new version to maintain a similar feel to classic mobile but incorporate some of the features of desktop.

I have noticed one issue so far. When using the new mobile version and you click the SEC Rant board from the menu list it brings up the desktop version. Maybe the new mobile version just hasn't been implemented on the secrant.com side yet.
