Trevor Noah's stand up is pretty good. It will be interesting to see how he brings his South African perspective to the show, if at all. His humor seems way dryer than Stewart's.

Never really watched the Daily Show religiously anyway, so I will probably do what have always done: catch it here and there flipping through the channels.

This is why I think he'll actually work nicely in the spot. He's different enough that he won't just be compared to Stewart. He shouldn't have a hard time playing the straight man with the correspondents. Plus, as John Oliver showed, the foreign lens is a nice jumping off point for satire and social commentary.

There will be a transition with the writers learning how to write for him, but the move makes way more sense than Larry Wilmore to replace Colbert.
