Well at least they keep coming up with interesting ways to lose a game...

I'd bet a lot of coaches record isn't good in the same scenario.

Oh no doubt. It's a situation where one team just has to win 1 and the other 2. It still seems a little low to me.

So you're saying that Kevin Gausman and Aaron Nola carried our team for 4 years? But we knew that already. That's what makes Nola's two years all the more impressive to me. He knew that we wouldn't score many runs, he had to get into the 8th inning, and we HAD TO WIN his game.

To Aaron Nola

I mean to tell you that LSU is 5-4 in conference play. You will not win the SEC by winning .555% of your conference games.

Ole Miss and perhaps 2 Kentucky losses can be traced to coaching decisions made in the late innings of the Friday games. Killing the DH, using your closer for 4 non-save innings, etc.

Doesn't matter, go 20-10 and you're a natty seed.

Gotta pick up a sweep somewhere.

do you honestly think LSU will be at .555% by the end of the season?

the only real complaint i have about CPM this past weekend is not pulling Poche when they tied it up and not bunting with runners at 1st and 2nd with no outs. i honestly have no idea what was going on there.

I do think that it will come down to 1 or 2 games as to whether LSU wins the conference, or perhaps needs to get that bye at the SEC tournament. Each game in the SEC is precious, and you can't throw any of them away.

If he handles those correctly, we win 2/3 and we can chalk up Sunday to "just baseball". But we didn't win Friday, and we lost the series, and now we are buried in the standings.

Buried in the standings? C'mon we're 2 games back with 7 weekends left to go.
