I would think Staubach & Bradshaw would be in the mix.

No doubt, and that was without his 4th Super Bowl win (that segment was made a couple years back).

Some guys were on there complaining about his spot because he had gone so long without winning another Super Bowl.

Damn. I definitely put Kelly, Staubach and Rodgers over Namath, and probably Stabler. No way any sane person could say Namath is #3 on that list.

See, this argument holds no weight to me because his numbers suck even compared to his peers

The only thing more overrated than Namath is the guarantee. People act like he was running his mouth like Richard Sherman or T.O.. The media hounded him about why they even belonged there in the first place until he snapped and gave the quote they wanted in the first place. Even Namath says this.

James Harris from the 70's Rams should be on there before Luck. As well as Bob Griese...

True, I can't think of any athlete who is more defined by one game or moment. He really got the mileage out of SB III

Not really. It made him a legend. Without it, he's not in the HOF.

I just meant that the popular narrative surround the guarantee is at best misleading and at worse patently false.
