IDK what a "fuel cap" light is?
It has a light that will show on the dash that says "Check Fuel Cap"
It's been checked, lol. I took it off and put it back on to make sure that it was on securely and still nothing.

Has she recently purchased gas?
Purchased gas at the beginning of last week I believe. Always get gas at the same place by our house.
A buddy of mine has a test tool that he's bringing over today to see if there are any other codes that pop up. Another friend that works at the auto supply next door to where I work said he wouldn't think it would be the fuel pump as the car is not that old. He said he would think we would be looking at a relay possibly. He's ordered me a fuel pump just in case though.

Makes sense.

Good plan. I've seen a clogged cat cause something like this, but more inclined that it's fuel pump related.

Check fuel cap light come on when you leave a fuel cap loose or you have a malfunction in your evaporative emissions system (Evap. pump, busted evap line, etc.). This should not prevent it from starting and also is not tied to the fuel pump in any way. I think it not starting is a total coincidence and not related to the fuel cap light, I've been wrong before though.. Post what codes he pulls with the scanner and let the OB consult you on the problem
