Good afternoon OB,
I was curious if anyone had any experience with either Precision Landscape or Simpson Sod? I have more dogs than I'd like to claim and some shady spots. From everything I'm reading, it sounds like empire zoysia might be an answer to these problems. I figured I would go ahead and re-sod the whole back yard. About 2050 sq. ft., if I calculated correctly. Precision has their price listed at $190 a pallet installed.
TIA for any help.

Sunny sod out of Lacombe did a good job for us.
We didn't use zoysia, though.

Thanks. I'll check them out.

Are you going to place the new sod directly over your existing grass/ weeds? I don't recommend this method at all. A complete removal of existing material, subgrade prepping, and re-sodding is going to be a pain in the arse if this is the route that is taken.
You may need to contact a qualified landscaper to work out your issues of you are not interested in doing it yourself.

I was going to smother it with 12 yd^3 of turf fill. One notch below garden soil.

Any input from the weekday crew?

Call Simpson Sod in Covington and ask for some install recommendations.
I'd bet a good chunk of change that they are going to tell you to contact a landscaper based on the info you've shared in this thread. They will have some names for you.

Thanks. I have your email. I just sent Simpson Sod an inquiry through their site.
