If I'm not mistaken, I think it takes into account how long you seed a file

If you seed a file for a long time, even if no one is downloading it, they will credit you with the effort of trying.

They don't automatically apply to your ratio but I think you can cash in the credits if your ratio is too low.

Any ratio over 0.5 is acceptable I think



Eta: I think what I was talking about above is different, something like points or something

Upload credit may be just a way of purchasing credit to lower your ratio and keep your account going. Obviously it's not required as long as you at least attempt to seed

Let me see if I get this right. With upload credits, if I were to ever fall below the .5 threshold or whatever it is, I can use those to up my ratio? Is that the only benefit?
