I'm new to IPTorrent thanks to an invite from a TD member. What is the big deal with Upload Credits? I want to make sure that i'm a good IPT member but I also don't DL that much. My ratio right now is 2.07 with 2.02GB UP / 999mb DL.

If I'm not mistaken, I think it takes into account how long you seed a file

If you seed a file for a long time, even if no one is downloading it, they will credit you with the effort of trying.

They don't automatically apply to your ratio but I think you can cash in the credits if your ratio is too low.

Any ratio over 0.5 is acceptable I think

Eta: I think what I was talking about above is different, something like points or something

Upload credit may be just a way of purchasing credit to lower your ratio and keep your account going. Obviously it's not required as long as you at least attempt to seed

You can buy upload credit or just get your upload from people downloading torrents you're seeding. What Croacka is referring to is bonus points. If you make a torrent available to download even if no one downloads it you'll get bonus points and you can trade bonus points for upload credit.
