I know this guy knows his stuff pretty well but he is wrong on a few points. The biggest I see is when he said we pushed cap forward again last offseason when in fact it was the first season in a few years we didn't push any cap forward.
We didn't do restructures last year. Smith along got us under the cap. Other cuts were made to resign a few guys and add a couple of players. But we did not roll cap forward. We cut cap.
What's shortsighted is the article.

And when I checked next year's cap before FA we were still about $10m under. We would have been over but his estimate of $35m is ridiculous. It may have been about $15m. And that's if we kept everyone.
