Uk doesn't really benefit from getting Kansas though. Instead they (theoretically) got Maryland and then the winner of notre dame-KU.
That's pretty much as bad as it could have possibly been for Kentucky IMO.

Was frightened of the thought of UK running in to ND because they are one of those teams that could get absurdly hot from 3 and knock them out.
Not as worried about Maryland.

I agree. The one team that should be angry is actually Kentucky. They got the toughest 4/5 and either the toughest or second toughest 3.
Villanova got the easiest road to the Sweet 16, followed by Wisconsin. Duke has the easiest road to the Final 4 from that point forward, followed closely by Villanova. I see they kind of S-curved it with the 2/3 seeds, but UK should have gotten a much, much easier 4 than MD. That's one of the most egregious seeds of the tournament. To me, they were the best or second best 3 seed.

Was kinda pissed about ISU getting 3 and Kansas a 2, but I think ISU is in a better position, honestly. Backhanded reward for taking 2 out of 3 from KU and the Big 12 tourney title.

Yeah, seeds aren't as important as the road to the E8/F4. ISU fans should be happier than KU fans.

I think it's fine that Kansas was ahead of Iowa state in that pecking order. I think notre dame probably should have been the 2 with the win last night.
I also agree that both of them should be happy that they got the 3 and are not in Kansas' place

I'd rather be in OU's spot than in ISU or KU's to be honest.

Find a way how that's wrong, Peej.
They got the easiest bracket BY FAR... Tell me there is NO bias.................

You think the committee intentionally put multiple weak teams in the same regional as Duke in an effort to give Duke an advantage?
Posted on 3/15/15 at 7:02 pm to rockchlkjayhku11
How about Duke baby?
Oh, could the committee give them an easier road to the final 4.

See, you can't find a way to argue that they don'thave the most quality wins. There are other ways of looking at the top 4 teams in the country than just counting who is in a P5 and simply calculating who has the least losses.
Fwiw, I think the brackets are pretty close. No one has the easiest or hardest BY FAR of anything. However, the team with the most legitimate gripe is Kentucky. As I said, Zona and Wisconsin have the easiest road to the Elite 8 but then they have to play each other. I'd say Villanova's actually got the easiest bracket, assuming Anderson isn't recovered in a week, but that is a big assumption.

Yes, they could have. Iowa State, Utah, SDSU, St. Johns's, SMU, Gonzaga- those are ALL very strong opponents. Villanova has an easier road, imo.
But clowns like you and peej already have your minds, made up, I get that.

They definitely didn't do that in 2013 Duke was in the running for a 1 and got placed in the group of death as 2. At the time, Peej was doing his best to keep a straight face and talked about how the committee was finally being objective. Of course, in most years, Duke gets a seed that is generally expected in a standard region.
The reality is no team systematically gets placed in easier or tougher groups every year.

The committee is trolling Dook. They've lost the last two years to LeHigh and Mercer. The committee isn't stupid.

You conveniently forgot 2013's Elite Eight run. Is it required that all the anti-Duke flamers be alcoholics and/or complete idiots?

Yes I do... Just look at the whole bracket... Its quite obvious... UK has a way tougher bracket than Duke....

Excuse me, I forgot. My apologies. Two out of three isn't bad though.

Can you actually name any teams in Duke's bracket or anything about them?
Iowa State has the resume of a 2 seed and is a 3 seed. Duke essentially has 2 2-seeds in their bracket. Kentucky gets a Kansas team who is missing Cliff Alexander this time.

Georgetown being a 4 is a joke. They go down to the 13.
UCLA getting in is absurd. Several teams I would have had in over them.
