for us guys it's usually no big deal, but women...
it's not what you say but the way that you say it. that is important
[[ upon seeing the booboo....you could have said, oh, I'm sorry, I forgot to tell you I wanted the staples over here....or other similar ]] instead of whatever way you pointed out the booboo.
don't worry about it, most of us have a hard time figuring them out

I had a female staff that was my right hand woman. She wanted to learn and be the best she could be, so she was always open to constructive criticism. It made me better too. I even began having her review my memos and correct it for accuracy, wording, and grammar as a way to further teach her. She loved it and nominated me for mentor of the year.
On the flip side, I have had unmotivated staff, men and women, and they got weeded out pretty quickly.
