It's so awesome though

2 is my favorite, but the critics and many fans say 3 is the best game in the series

I can't say I have actively looked into it, but I have never heard anyone say this.

Not a big fan of the trilogy but I thought 3 was better than 2.

I thought the characters were better in 3. UC2 introduced Choe which was cool but the villain was dumb IMO. 3 is the only game that had a real villain I felt.

No clunky stealth section/mechanics
No odd boss fight
More personal villain and story

Hmm, I thought Uncharted 2 was the fan favorite, but I really liked Uncharted 3 as well.

I think the series is worth playing. None of them are very long and it shouldn't be too hard to play through them.

My friends all preferred 3.

What's wrong with people?

They like return of the Jedi, they hate temple of doom and uncharted 3 isn't worth a play through

God damn

It's an epic adventure game. It delivers

Not that this is the law but UC2 has a higher Metacritic score than UC3. Regardless of this, I liked 2 more than 3 and most of the game critics I listen to seem to have echoed that thought.

But this too. All 3 are good games that are easy to recommend. There's no reason not to play them if you haven't yet.

But 3 also had a magician. A magician. UC2 wins.

I would like to remind you that the whole premise of 2 boiles down to some a-hole eating blue tree sap and raging.

guess 3 did recycle the lost city idea and they were both interesting but for some reason "the city of immeasurable wealth" was just more exciting

I didn't understand how shambala was hidden. A serious sandstorm in the middle of a freakishly large desert, yeah I can see that

The train sequence was pretty epic

But so was the boat and the plane

And the sequence of wandering through the desert was kewl

I felt like both games (really, all 3) had standard, popcorn-fare story lines. I liked 2's set pieces more (while technically impressive, I thought the whole boat sequence in 3 went on for too long and dragged the pace of the game down).

But what I really liked more in 2 (I know others here have heard me say this before) were the gun fights and I think that had to do with the map design. 3 had more shoot outs that felt like they could really only be approached in one way. UC2 had less of that problem.

Oh, and I enjoyed the light stealth stuff in 2.

Aside from the stealth level I love 2

I like it more than 3. Shooting down that chopper was just stunningly awesome. I just think 3 was the more refined product, and didn't feel rehashed even though it was

Ign gave it a perfect score and it's hard to argue

I think the pacing in 2 is more frantic and feels like quantum of solace paced action but I appreciated the moments I could catch my breath in 3

Anyway, this started because Taylor said not to play it

Taylor, Das jus crayzy

The series really needs new gameplay elements and the demo shows off a lot in a short time

And better yet, you do not have to kill every single human you encounter. Drake kills like 80,000 people per game starts to wear on my ability to suspend disbelief.

You can use the environment to play stealth like. That's the real problem with the stealth in UC...it was never really boosted by your environment

Agreed. I really wasn't very excited for a new Uncharted game until I saw the gameplay demo and realized they had integrated some of the stealth mechanics from TLOU, which is fine by me.

The framerate in UC3 seemed choppy. I finished UC2 right after and the second game was much smoother

Yes, loved the demo. Time to forget about it for a while though. Back to dragon age.
