I had a Doctor hit my Sciatic Nerve with an lower-back injection.
Worst pain I've ever felt for 49 days.
The Nurse Practitioner there finally gave me a straight answer and said it may go away in a week or it could never go away.
She said the longest she had seen something like mine last was a Year.
Nerve pain is much tougher to get under control than other kinds.
Other than Anti-Inflamatories and pain meds have they prescribed you anything like Lyrica or Neurotin?

I was on Neurotin in the hospital and for the first 3 weeks before they switched me to Lyrica. It works better the Neurotin but neither takes all the pain away. Hot water is the best thing I've found for the pain when I get tired of dealing with it.
