It's not all on one guy but Portis had a minimum of 10 offensive rebounds. Malone might be tall but cant block out to save his life or his team. Defense isn't just about blocked shots

Malone wasn't the only guy trying to block out on Portis. A good number of them were when LSU was in the zone, which is bad for defensive rebounds. Plus a lot of "long" rebounds.

I agree but you do realize Portis will possibly win POTY in the conference, right? Malone is a fricking backup. What did you honestly expect? He did ok. Not great, not terrible, just ok...especially considering the circumstances.

No, Malone can block out. In fact, that's ALL he apparently wants to do. The ball goes up and he sprints (head down) to find someone to put a body on. Then the ball bounces off the rim falls in front of him and he continues to keep blocking out. He does step one but never does step two. He doesn't jump at all. He plays his best, but how can you go an entire basketball game literally without jumping once?
