Just caught it on Encore. IMO, its the best Bond movie. Connery at his peak with a good but not too complicated plot. Would be great to see Craig have a straight forward movie like this instead of yet another movie diving into Bond's childhood and inner demons.
Oh...there's also this:

Thunderball is cool.
But I kind of like Never Say Never Again better.

Already remade. Love Domino.
Moonraker screams for a remake. Read the book.

Agreed! It's my second favorite Bond film of all time! I read the new Spectre script and it's amazing at how closely they portray the secret Spectre meeting.

I'm not saying it's the best, but it is definitely underrated -
For me, the best Connery films are Dr. No and Goldfinger, but Thunderball is as good or better than the rest of his. (Connery is overrated as Bond - there I said it.)
Live and Let Die and For Your Eyes Only are the best Moore films (Moore is underrated as Bond - there I said it.)
As far as Dalton/Brosnan - I think a similar dichotomy exists - Dalton a more rugged, 2-fisted, no-nonsense Bond, and Brosnan more of a gentleman spy - although their portrayals are closer together than Connery and Moore were. Dalton's films were a little better, overall, The Living Daylights being my favorite since Connery/Moore - CAVEAT - I haven't seen a Craig film yet.
(I've been busy.)

Agree - my favorite Bond as well.
Vargas - he does not drink, he does not smoke, he does not make love.
