I second the don't buy Toys R Us playset. We bought one about five years ago. It has not held up well at all, wood rotting, stain wearing off. I may have to pull it down soon.
That said, it was like $500 - so, $100/year. Maybe that's not so bad. The kids have certainly enjoyed the shite out of it. Just don't expect it to last through 3 kids play-lives.
