Damn. Three straight years of losing the best O lineman in state.

Hard to blame Robinson at the time. LSU had Stud coaching the OL, and we've had very little success in putting OL in the NFL under Miles. Obviously, La'el going in the top 15 will help that perception going forward, but Bama has put a ton of linemen in the NFL recently. It's the same reason why we're able to pull elite DBs from around the country. Couple that with the talk of us being "outworked" in the Monroe area, and it's really not surprising that he chose Bama.

Tillery seemed like a big loss, but he may very well end up on defense. Adding Chidi and Weathersby late made Tillery nothing more than an afterthought, IMO.

I think we still have a good shot with Allen. JC kids take their time with the process, and Grimes proved that he can close on big prospects in this last cycle. I wouldn't write him off just yet.

Robinson would be a top 5-10 pick if he had gone to UL Monroe.

Exactly. When was the last time a big time JC recruit announced early? I can't ever remember one. Allen will announce in a televised national signing day ceremony. It's the way JT Curtis likes to have his top recruits roll.
