Do people really have a "hobbies/interests" section on their resume?

I would definitely not put that on my résumé.

I wouldn't either, that's why I have a personal website that pops up if someone googles my name.

Neither would I, but the CMT*s are starting to do it en masse. I received one the other day that had more about her hobbies than experience.

ETA: This is a trend in resumes. Gone are the days of the classic resume. For entry-level positions, I'd guess I get 40 percent crap like this (no substance), 40 percent Word template resumes and 20 percent good resumes.
