$150-200 seems like a steep markup for some ScotchGard. We had it added to a couch we bought 10 years ago. Couch still looks great. But I think we paid $20. They had a compressor set up with a sprayer, and sprayed the whole thing right in front of us before loading it into our truck. Wrapped it in plastic after the spray, and told us to let it completely dry once we unwrapped it at the house. We didn't have kids at the time, but a couple of pets. Now my girl is 7 and my son is almost 2. It has held up really well. Not bad for a $500 cloth couch. Of course our other furniture is leather, so no issues there.
