These extreme gun nuts hurt the 2nd amendment more than they help. I'm an avid hunter, have a concealed carry permit, and often have a pistol on me. However I don't wave it around in public scaring everyone and making the general public fear people who have guns.
Same with hunters. Yes I have a right to strap a dead deer with guts hanging out on the hood of my truck, but instead I try my best to conceal deer I have shot from the public because I don't want to give anti-hunters even more ammo to use against us.
And for you people who say the officer should not have questioned him, what if a middle eastern looking man were walking in downtown Houston in a huge crowd, wearing traditional muslim attire, large beard, with a similar rifle strapped to his back. He is shouting something about the end times coming soon and how infidels will pay for their rejection of Allah. Would you want an officer to check him out if you were walking near him? Remember, he has not committed any crime. He is just peacefully walking down the street expressing his religious beliefs (1st amendment).

So now we are comparing mythical bombs to guns? Jesus MF christ!
1. Carrying a long-gun in public in Texas is LEGAL
2. Asking someone for ID, when no crime has been committed is horseshite!
3. Detaining someone when there is no probable cause a crime has been committed is ILLEGAL.
