No need for me to "see the light", dude. I got most of my ammo way, way, way, before all of this panic started. From the late 90s to the early 2000's, if you want to know. And I didn't pay anywhere near the prices people pay today.
There's lots of ignorant stuff being thrown around about the lack of ammo, and there's plenty of fault to go around between dealers, buyers and the government.
But when you get right down to it, if the seller has something you want, if you want it badly enough, you'll pay his price, or you will wait for a better deal. It's pretty simple.
ETA: I have more than enough ammo for my own needs right now, but I won't pass up a good deal to ensure my kids have it later on.

True, just paid $50 for a brick of .22LR over the internets. Looks like the exact same brick i used to pay $15 for, back before the dipshit panic. But i was out, and couldn't find anything local. Fortunately, i do not own an AR, so the current manufactured panic over that ammo will not affect me.
