I poked my head inside the little District handpie/coffee location...meh. Went across the street and down a bit to Ps & Qs & had a hiVolt coffee. It was fine, but the pastry offerings looked lame. If all you serve is pies & quiche, they'd better be damn fine. The stuff at Ps & Qs was not visually appealing in any way. Standard small metal disposable tins, ordinary toppings & meringues. Not a hint of care, artistry, or attention to display. The place is stupidly small; four ppl filled up the entire sales floor, limited/no seating, and zero aesthetic appeal. Not sure what's going on there, but I didn't get the concept at all.

HiVolt is the most overrated, overpriced coffee in the city. Go right down the street to Mojo. They put out a much better product at lower prices.

Neither District nor District Pies intrigues me, hence I've never visited save to get a quick drip coffee once .. which was tepid and sour. Never eaten there. Dessert pastries for breakfast isn't my thing.
