This skill set seems to be of high demand and low supply. Can the OT point me in the direction of locating an operator for a 4 to 5 month assignment in the Greater NOLA area?

I can operate a crane if you give me a 12-pk and a few hours to get familiar with the equipment

I'd be willing to give it a shot.

Sounds like fun.

Never ran a tower crane, very experienced on gantries and very heavy bridge cranes.
What is the motor and control set up on those? I realize I am not qualified to operate that, but was curious about the set-up, is it electric with electronic controls, or strictly a friction rig?

Haven't pulled the trigger on a rig yet because it doesn't do any good without someone to run it. It will be a new crane that has never been used however.

Well, I've already got a couple of endorsements in this here thread, but since y'all are probably all hardass about recreational use of pharmaceuticals, I'm gonna help you out.

Reaching out to some ex-Shuttle guys. They had to pass stringent tests, like spraying a paint can nozzle with the crane w/o crushing the can.

Of the ones you have looked at, is there typical type of set-up?
