The officer is also trained to identify himself, which he will have a very tough time proving he did. Because he didn't, until after the punish and things started.
After talking with a few kids that were with Becker,I still can't understand why a grown up man, let alone an officer would get in a war or words with teenagers to begin with.

cops brain function is on par with high schoolers so that could explain it.
Also not the first time that i have heard JPSO not Id'ing themselves.
