Quick...someone name a QB Miles recruited from high school who developed into a competent SEC QB. can't be done. There hasn't been one in Miles 10 years on the job. That's unacceptable. Until that happens, its not a myth that LSU can't develop QBs. Every QB fully groomed under Miles and co. has been a total bust. The best QBs under Miles (Russell, Flynn and Mett) got their beginnings under different tutelage. I don't think its any coincidence that those guys were the best during Miles tenure.

Russell, Flynn and Perrilloux would have been...
Mettenberger was developed by Miles and Cameron.
It's not Miles fault Mettenberger didn't come to LSU straight from high school...

2005-07 - Miles did not recruit these QBs, therefore these 3 years are excluded from the 10 years of Miles's tenure.
2012-13 - Miles did not recruit Mett out of high school, therefore these 2 years are excluded from the 10 years of Miles's tenure.
2008-2009; 2014 - The QBs playing in these years were second-year players but starting for the first time, and did not have adequate time to develop.
2011 - Both LSU QBs were at the top of the SEC in passing efficiency.
So in the remaining 1 year, Miles failed to develop a QB he recruited from high school into a competent SEC QB.

In 2011 SEC regular season games, Jefferson and Lee had higher QB ratings than any other starting SEC QB. They were also the top two in the SEC for YPA. They were #2 and #3 in the SEC for Comp%.
