You're going at least 50 MPH
Holding a donut
Holding a camera
Leaving 0 hands on the wheel

You sir are the reason insurance rates in LA are so high and also why I hate driving there when I go back home.

Congrats on being the idiot of the day.

Born and raised in Bunkie.

I've had many donuts in my day, but none are as good at Mr Clearance's Shipley donuts in Bunkie. That old many has the secret, and I wish I knew it.

Even did a blind taste test in Lafayette with Meche's (with lafayette homers) and Bunkie Shipley won hands down.

I will say that I only get glazed. All those filling ones are too much for me.

The cream cheese filled had a fizzy taste this morning, and seemed a little "off" -- wouldn't get them again. The chocolate-filled and strawberry cream-filled were on-point, as usual.

Their kolache's are pretty good too. Best donuts around, IMO.

Is this any different from the Shipleys all over Texas? The box is the same.

I don't eat filled ones either. But I can just kill a box of glazed hot Shipleys. never tried the Bunkie outfit. Will do in the future.

Everytime somebody asks me about bringing a Dunkin franchise here, I make sure they know they will have to sell a shite ton of coffee, because Shipleys has the best donut, and the kolaches have taken a major step forward of late

The Starlite group is selling a ton as well. Their fritter is better than Ship's. I prefer Ship's Kolaches, but LP loves the Starlite ones. Starlite has a much better salty selection.

While it's branded under the typical Shipley, it's not the same donut. He has been cooking them with his recipe for 60+ years. He won't let it go.
