It's all about man's attempt to confront and understand an absent God. Some might say it's heavy material for a six year-old, but there's plenty of violence and rape to keep his attention (and there's even a slapstick vampire, kids love vampires!). He might not understand the Kierkegaard-esque undertones, but he'll be entertained none the less.
