I live on a private access street in St. Gabriel, off of Nicholson.
There are 3 houses on the street that are currently empty and I'm pretty sure the landlord is pissed about having empty houses, but he doesn't advertise well. (usually on craigslist).
All of the houses are 3 BR, 2 BA, with rent being $975, plus $975 deposit.
No fence, but he does allow dogs (not puppies), and I do have a cat as well.
I'm literally 10 minutes from campus.

You beat me to it. Deano was my little league baseball coach and we lived in the same neighborhood for years. He's good people.

Are you implying I'm in a position to negotiate?

You've been reading my threads then . I'm beginning to think this field was a damn mistake . I wouldn't mind taking you up on that offer if I indeed decide to come out that way

if you are considering it just let me know...
My current lease ends up on June 1.
I have a dog and a cat, have an extra bedroom that I just keep random shite in that can be thrown out or moved.
The 3rd bedroom is an office with a big work table and computer that I never use
If you are interested email me at gaetti15@gmail.com.
I'm not a student, but I work for LDWF...might be a good resource in the future

I wonder if it's like St. Bernard, where there are a ton of houses for rent, but they only want to rent them to certain people. Plus, people too cheap to pay the realtor.
Probably need to get out there this weekend and just drive around.

So you are telling me it's easy to cross the bridge in the morning from Brusly to Baton Rouge...So all those people bitching on Facebook and to the DOTD about a loop don't know what they are talking about....
I think you are talking about different directions...My family lives over there and bitches every day!
I never said anything was easy. I said traffic wasn't that bad. It certainly isn't as bad as other areas in the region. Much depends on what time you are traveling, but at least your going in the right direction ( east) in the morning and west in the afternoon. If your family bitched that much they are doing it wrong. Most people bitching about the loop are headed west in the morning and east at quitting time. Traffic is still better on the west side than in EBR or AP.

OK I remember you from my other thread now. I'd maybe recognize you, but don't know if we know one another. I graduated from RNR in 2013. Don't remember anyone working there who was in CES though. I'm 24

re: the ferry. Departing Plaquemine between 4:30-6:00pm normally results in waiting at least one cycle. It's worse when the bridge is backed up to Brusly. I drive by it everyday. Buying a house in Addis/Brusly when I moved here was one of the best decisions I have ever made.
Wife was at LSU for a masters. It was ~15 minutes at 9am.
