Cavs 24-58
Lakers 13-39
2008-2009 was the last time a Byron Scott team finished with a winning % over .333

Probably the most insane example of the NBA revolving door.

This is the extent of his "coaching"

Mike Brown is up there too.
I really think Byron Scott has been hampered by bad teams more-so than his own coaching ability.

I disagree. Scott had zero idea how to use Kyrie Irving or Tristan Thompson. Not very good at X and O'S.

He would rather have his team shoot midrange contested jumpers than 3s. That's really all you need go know about his coaching ability. He's perfect for tanking though.

I think your math is off unless you are talking about more than you listed

Having seen a LOT of Scott's "coaching" in New Orleans, I can say without a doubt he is the worst head coach in the NBA, and has been for some time now.

Yeah, that not a bad point. I still don't think he has been blessed with good team though.

When the Lakers played the Pelicans this year, the camera kept switching back and forth between Byron Scott and Monty Williams.
It was the weirdest feeling. I thought I was having a fricking stroke.

He has been to the Finals twice as a coach...and I actually think he did a fairly good job coaching those teams. That said, he definitely hasn't been very good over the past several years.

Must have thought they were offering Brian Shaw the job..
Would've much rather had him coach the Lakers personally.

Reminds me of pre-Alabama Lane Kiffin. Little success but still getting jobs.

18 of the 30 NBA coaches are still on their first NBA coaching gig, 12 of which were hired in the past 2 years. Jason Kidd isn't technically a part of this group, but I'd still consider him in it.

Congrats you picked one of the only coaches who is possibly worse than scott.

The NBA has actually done a pretty good job at introducing new coaches the past two years or so

He's not as bad as these records indicate. He inherited the post-LeBron Cavs disaster in 2010 and the post-Kobe, Dwight, Nash experiment Lakers this year.
Pretty bare cupboard teams that never really had a shot at winning.
