It is definitely an old Browning. Look up the DOM here.

Even if the choke comes off the barrel was cut / modified.

Seen a lot of them fricked up like this. Of course, they USED to be used for hunting and not collecting. My dad, uncle and grandpa all shot Belgian made Brownings and they are all beat to shite!!! Dad had a couple of his completely refurbished, but that doesn't help the value that much.
