Prom. You and I got at this a lot. I just think with the talent we have the qb position should be the main focus in recruiting. I mean it seems as if Ohio st. And bama do a ample job at it. Seems like here we go in another off season and man the sky is the limit 2016 wait....oh shite if we get good qb play? Seems like every year now except when metts was here.

First, I think Harris should start. Let's get that out of the way.

We remember so much about Jefferson and Lee and their average to below average play, our minds are stuck on that because it felt like they were here for 7 years. Cam and Les can't develop a QB. Did they not develop Mett? Did Les not develop Flynn? Or let me guess, that was residuals from Saban, right?

Harris is young and fans, like you, don't have the the patience to let young kids grow up. 95% of the time, it doesn't matter who it is, the QB position isn't ready and won't play like a veteran until their Junior year. There are exceptions to the rule, of course, but most of the time...that's the case.

Unfortunately, Les had no options between Jefferson and Lee. Others transferred or went to play baseball. Or lied and backed out of their commitments. Timing could not have been worse.

Also, because of agendas, people will absolutely refuse to believe that Harris does have maturity issues. Doesn't know the playbook. Why is Harris infallible and it's all the head coaches fault? Kid has to shoulder the responsibility as well. It's ridiculous. I just started a new job 2 months ago, and I STILL don't know how to do half the things I'm supposed to. I'm learning but it will take a while. it's about learning new habits and about repitition.

Football coaches aren't going to go into games thinking about the future. They want to win today. Why throw away about season To let one kid gain experience, a freshman, while seniors and older players are playing their last game? Why up your odds to lose and ruin these guys last year and lose even more by giving the keys to a kid that doesn't know what he's doing? It sends the wrong message and ups your possibilities of losing even more games. Play for today. Not tomorrow. Maybe Jennings DID give LSU a better shot at winning last season. Doesn't mean he gives them the best shot next season.

Miles WANTS Harris as QB. I think that is proven by him opening it back up and his constant media quotes about how they need improvements at QB. Yet, I find that people like to bitch about bout Miles so much that they can't take a step back and see that. It's obviously more fun to start thread after thread whining about the qb spot and how it will NEVER be solid again, Nevermind were a year removed from a ridiculous seas on by Mettenberger.
