I'm pretty sure I never had to sign a birth certificate. I may just be forgetting, but I don't think I officially signed off on anything.

I can tell you that when my son was born, my first reaction was "that's not my son". Didn't look remotely like me or my wife for that matter. After I held him, that went out the window and it was my son. That would be a tough pill to swallow for sure. Luckily after about a month, you could tell he was mine.
