That's just not true at all.
He was an elite defender against the run.
Whether or not he should have stayed is entirely based on where he is drafted. If he's drafted in the top 2 rounds, it's a no brainer good decision for himself.
If he's drafted in the 5th round on down, then I'd agree he made a poor decision given his upside.

If he is drafted lower than the 2nd round he made a bad decision, and that is why the NFL changed their advisory grades to:
First round
Second round
Stay in school
I have not seen it reported anywhere what he actually got back from the NFL advisory committee.
