But this is by far the coolest thing I have built. My mom has had 2 old diner stools for as long as I can remember from her grandmother's diner in Lewisburg. They sat outside and rusted over the years. They were in extremely bad shape:



Sandblasted and painted those bad boys:



Build seats out of pallet wood and put about 87,000 coats of spar varnish. Fastened them in place with anchors and bolts in cement on back patio. Couldn't be happier with the finish:
