Okay, how about this: you say he is a douche because he isn't doing exactly what everyone expects him to do. What does he owe to the media besides appearing? Nothing.

By all accounts, Lynch is an excellent teammate, and a laid back, humble guy. That is from people that actually know him. But you, someone who is only judging him by his media appearances, thinks he is a douche. I think my opinion is more valid than yours.
